Jim, Dan and Fred Koch started Koch and Company in 1989 when they purchased their first building, known in the area as the old VFW dance hall. Their love of woodworking led them to creating a world class door and cabinet manufacturing business with the focus on providing a quality product, that was made in the U.S.A., at an affordable price.
Today Koch and Company has facilities at 12 locations, employs over 900 employees and sells to dealers across the United States.
At Koch and Co., Inc., we take great pride in our commitment to quality and craftsmanship. All of our cabinets and doors are proudly made in the USA, ensuring that we deliver durable and expertly crafted products to our customers. As a family-owned company, we bring a personal touch to everything we do, treating each project with the care and attention it deserves. Our family values and dedication to excellence have been the foundation of our success, and we continue to uphold these principles with every cabinet and door we create.
We are committed to environmentally friendly practices that minimize waste and promote sustainability. Our cabinets are wrapped with recycled cardboard, ensuring that packaging materials are both protective and eco-conscious. All paper products are recycled, reducing landfill waste. To further our sustainability efforts, wood waste is ground and repurposed by local dairy farmers as cattle bedding. In addition, all metal buckets and drums from our finish room are sent to metal recycling, where they are crushed and melted for reuse. We also take extra steps to manage paint waste efficiently by running it through a reclaimer, which extracts hazardous materials and reclaims solvents for reuse in cleaning spray guns. This process significantly reduces the amount of liquid hazardous waste shipped off for disposal, reinforcing our dedication to responsible and sustainable manufacturing. Additionally, all our facilities are equipped with energy-saving LED lighting, and we offer van services to support carpooling for employees commuting from surrounding areas. Not to mention, we are proudly CARB Phase II compliant, ensuring that our materials meet strict air quality standards. Sustainability is at the core of our operations, and we continuously seek new ways to reduce our environmental impact.
